Welcome to the Learning and Teaching Scotland Website.
Learning and Teaching Scotland was formed on 1st July 2000 from the merger of SCET (Scottish Council for Educational Technology) and Scottish Consultative Council on the Curriculum (Scottish CCC).
In due course we will be unveiling our new website. In the meantime you can access the SCCC and SCET sites by clicking on the logos on the left hand menubar.
LT Scotland will work in partnership with others to develop the curriculum from 3 to 18, to enhance learning and teaching and to promote creative and effective use of information and communications technology in education and in learning throughout life.
Learning and Teaching Scotland aims to achieve its mission by:
providing high quality advice to Scottish Ministers and, where appropriate, to others on the pre-school and school curriculum and on the use of ICT in learning throughout life.
developing and providing a range of effective and innovative products and services which are supportive of learning and teaching at all stages.
As part of a wider remit LT Scotland is closely linked with other sectors: for example, the UK and international education and learning sectors, the software and hardware industry, the business sector, the public sector generally and the voluntary sector.
